Can I bring my metal detector on airplane?
It is in a small golf bag. Vacation trip to Florida.
It should be okay. I'd make sure it's turned off, or ideally, take the batteries out. The airline staff may feel reassured that it can't go "on" and give off some type of radio interference.
Don't laugh. A lot of things actually do give off radio frequencies and this is why you can't use a lot of electronic devices on flights.
