Could I build something to do this storage job myself.. and if so.. how?
I really like this item/design... but its only available in the USA... and even if it was in the UK... it would probably cost 3 times the price. http://www.golfbagstorage.net/
We have two Golf Bags (with irons and clubs) in the garage. I'm trying to tidy up the garage.... theres too much rubbish on the floor space and it's only a small garage.
We only play golf occasionally on public municpal courses.
Any DIY ideas of how I could build something to do a similar wall hold/store job? Preferably whilst keeping costs to a minimum. I'm thinking wood tbh.. like a wooden base rather than metal...if that's possible.
Any useful ideas, thoughts, or plans on how to go about it please ?
I'm not a great DIY-er but am persistant. My garage is brick and I have a masonary drill.
I'd like to put a DIY golfbag storage system up on walls which jut-out slightly just next to and opposite where I made this wall-tidy (from another question) http://tinyurl.com/2p7ooa
Thanks.
I encourage you to go ahead. I think you have determined what you need to do. The bottom shelf would be easiest made of wood. A couple small metsalbrackets attached to the brick wall with the wood shelf on top.
To hold the top of the bag, use two eyescrews anchored into the brick and a lightweight chain(from a hardware store) and a hook on each end of the chain.
Good luck
