Golf Bag Strap and Bag Stand?
I just bought my girlfriend her first set of clubs, but the one she chose didn't come with a Stand Bag, just a regular bag. She really wants a stand (the bag won't stand on it's own), can I buy just the stand somewhere and attach it to the bag? She doesn't want wheels because we ride in the cart., but still wants the stand for when we go to the driving range. Has anyone ever done this before?
Also, I bought a new bag too, but it came with one of those "backpack style" shoulder straps. I thought it would be fine but I really don't like it, can I buy just a regular shoulder strap alone somewhere?
I've looked in some Pro Shops and on eBay but can't find anything. let me know if you have any suggestions.
Wait a minute - she just got her first set of clubs but she is riding in a cart to play golf? How far does she get to ride between shots? Golf is about walking - at least let her start that way. When she gets old and can't walk the course then put her in a cart. Separate stands are available as are replacement straps. But if you are riding in the cart with her what difference does it make what kind of strap is on your bag? Too awkward going from the parking lot to where the carts are parked??
